Welcome to Northampton Lady Associate Members (LAMs)

Celebrating 51 Years of fellowship

We are delighted that you have chosen to visit our website.

Northampton LAMs was founded in 1973 by a group of like-minded ladies.  From those very early days, our Members have worked together in friendship and companionship to accomplish great things.  Today, we have much to celebrate as a result of the fellowship we all share.

You will find all the information you need about Northampton LAMs here, including details of our social events, calendar of activities, and fund raising.

LAMs Members meet regularly, the first Wednesday in every month, at coffee mornings where raffles and themed fund raising events are held. The Chairman's Coffee Morning and Bazaar is held during August and may take the form of a garden party, weather permitting.  Luncheons are scheduled through the year complete with guest speakers or entertainment.  Christmas time is celebrated in typical Christmas style with seasonal entertainment, such as carols and readings.  A 'special' Luncheon, held in the early part of each year, helps to brighten the winter season and has proved to be extremely popular over the years. In addition, ad hoc events may be scheduled, such as ‘cheese and wine’ suppers. These events provide a variety of opportunities to raise funds and socialise. Two Outings a year are organised and enjoyed by many Members, together with visits to the theatre. Where space allows, Members' guests are invited to participate in the range of activities.

We are a friendly group of people who have the same values and interests at heart. Membership of LAMs engenders a great sense of fellowship and purpose and all new Members are made most welcome. It is a wonderful way to meet like-minded people and make new friends.

New Members

We are always on the lookout for new members to swell our ranks and openly invite new members to join us.

Joining is easy and there is no requirement to attend a minimum number of meetings or events in any one year.  You can become a member and never attend social events at all, if you choose not to or are unable to do so!  Your subscription is equally valuable and helps us to meet our objectives.  All Members receive a detailed programme of events on receipt of their (small) subscription.  Visit our 'Membership Page' to find out more.

Thinking about becoming a Member, but unsure?  Why not come along to one of our coffee mornings and introduce yourself.  You will be assured of a very warm welcome.  Ask to speak to a Member of our Committee, we will be delighted to meet you.
